We are looking for a new colleague in a PhD fellowship at Copenhagen Prospective Studies on Asthma in Childhood (COPSAC) located in Gentofte. The position is fully funded for 3-years and offers an exchange stay at Harvard Medical School as part of the fellowship funded by the DFF Sapere Aude program.
The project is focused on why some children are more predisposed to infections in early life than others by understanding key risk factors, underlying mechanisms and impact on later health. You will be a part of the upcoming infectious disease group at COPSAC and learn about clinical and translational research, cohort studies, statistics, complex data analysis, scientific writing, presentation and international collaboration.
COPSAC is an internationally recognized clinical research centre consisting of approx. 60 employees. Our primary research focus is to uncover the causes of common childhood diseases including infection proneness, asthma, allergy and eczema to improve prevention. Our papers are published in high-impact scientific journals including NEJM, JAMA, Lancet and BMJ. We always strive to move the field forward within the pediatric allergic and infectious disease areas.
