Join COPSAC as a postdoc to advance childhood health research with international collaboration opportunities

We are looking for a skilled postdoc at Copenhagen Prospective Studies on Asthma in Childhood (COPSAC) located in Gentofte including the possibility of an exchange stay at Harvard Medical School. The project is funded by the DFF Sapere Aude programe.



The study is focused on why some children are more predisposed to infections in early life than others by understanding key risk factors, underlying mechanisms and impact on later health by utilizing multi-omics data layers including large panels of proteomics and metabolomics already available for analysis.



You will be a part of the newly established infectious disease group at COPSAC, which is an internationally recognized clinical research centre consisting of approx. 60 employees. Our primary research focus is to uncover the causes of common childhood diseases including infection proneness, asthma, allergy and eczema to improve prevention. Our papers are published in high-impact scientific journals including NEJM, JAMA, Lancet and BMJ. We always strive to move the field forward within the pediatric allergic and infectious disease areas. Your profile:

  • You have a PhD or equivalent experience
  • You have extensive experience in performing and interpreting statistical analyses in R or equivalent analysis language and have many scalable tools at your disposal, including experience with multi-omics data.
  • You can get stuff organized and done, and can prioritize among complex tasks
  • You are curious and passionate and would like to be in the frontline, where research makes a difference
  • You’d like to join a team and help support the group, but are also comfortable working independently, exploring own ideas
  • You enjoy communicating science, writing papers and exploring new ideas in grant proposals


The position is a 2-year project position. Application deadline is February 16, 2026. Salary and employment will be by agreement and according to current rules in the Capital Region of Denmark.
